Hi,

I've brought my website to Joomla 2.5 and Virtuemart 2.
Now I would like to use Gavick Bike Store or eShop.

Is it possible to make the site look like with the Quickstart installation,
having my Virtuemart products, categories, ...?

Do I have to install all modules, plugins, templates, flypages, ecc. 1 by 1,
or is there an easier way? Updating, importing, copying from where to where?
How is the procedure?

Thanks for helping,
Jochen

Thanks for answering. Maybe I didn't explain myself very well.

If I understood well, using the quickstart package I get a new joomla site looking like the demo, and I understood how to handle this.

I would like that my already existing website looks like the site you get with the quickstart package and with my virutemart products, categories, ecc. with description, prices, ecc. in it. Actually this is what is most important, how to get my virtuemart data in "quickstart package site". I don't have many joomla articles, but nearly 500 products and a few categories in virtuemart.

Do I have to copy part of the database? If yes which parts?

Can you "override" the old site with the quickstart package?

Thanks.

I made it or part of it, at least, moving parts of the database from the old site to the new site,
by exporting, importing, migrating, and so on...

I couldn't migrate users (problem with 2 administrators I think). Now I have the 3/4 "quickstart users" in, how can I "import" the other users from the old site?

The same with product attributes (genders, sizes, ecc.) . Is there an "easy" way to move them from one site to the other? I see now there are "Custom Fields" for sizes... how could it work?

The same with my Joomla articles. Is there a way to migrate/export/import them?

Thanks again.

About importing VM content you should ask on VM support forum - this is not template issue but more 3rd party extension problem. I don't think that you can import users because you will have problems with session table also.
