Hi!
I am using the Restaurant Joomla 2.5 template which has the K2Store extension.
Now: is there any way to add "Preferred date" Calendar attribute (so buyers can select there preferred pickup date) and Text field attribute (so buyers can add there instructions). Is there a plugin what I can use?

Well, any idea or recommendation would be greatly appreciated!

Other question: how can I copy the exact same K2Store attributes what I create for one K2 item to all the items.
I only see one option: if I recreate all the attributes for each item, which does not work if you have hundreds of items. Is there any way to do this in phpadmin maybe?

If yes: how?

Thank you!

I think your should redirect your questions to K2Store support because all your changes are not related with the template but with K2Store which as a 3rd party extension is beyond our support.

Thank you!
I contacted them. Actually there website was down for days because there Bandwidth Limit Exceeded. And this is happening almost every month. I am not sure how trustable this extension then. This is a shopping cart which needs to be secured and if they have a website like this that leads to questioning there product. They said: I need to hire a developer from them to do these customizations. Looks like they are just forcing users to pay for these customizations if they actually want to use there free extension even for a very simple shoppig website.

So I think I just gonna change the shopping cart extension basically because of to be able to copy attributes to implement them to all of the items should be a basic option to have along with able to add a text field. Without these this extention is not usable. That leads to the realization: your template is not usable out of the box basically for a restaurant, where buyesr might need to add there own custom note for food, like allergy etc.. So I guess this is a kind of mistake to use this shopping cart extension from gavick.com end.

Do you have any recommendation for an alternate shopping cart extensions for this Restaurant template?
An extension which has these basic options.
The virtuamart extension is great (and you guys are using it for a few templates here) but is out of the question because it is difficult to create the layout and visual appearance for your Restaurant template or would cost money to buy theme for it.

Or can your development team create the design for wirtuamart (or any other shopping cart extension what you would recommend to use) which would be the same like the K2Store design in this Restaurant template? If yes, how would that works?

I bought the membership only because I wanted to use this template out of the box. I like the whole thing as is.

Any idea or recommendation would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

You can try to use VirtueMart, because K2Store is probably the only one light cart working as a K2 extension. VirtueMart is supported by few our templates, you can check them before you start to work with Restaurant.

Hi!
Thanks for your respond, I really appreciate it!
I already created the whole website, it is done, and now I just realized there is no way to add these options. The one thing which bothers me is: unable to add a text field and copy the attributes.
The K2Store support team gave me a price quote for $475 to do these customization.
Is that sound reasonable to you guys?

I am writing this to everyone who might want to use this template, to point that out there is a problem with it.

There is a bug the Restaurant template itself:
The remove button does not shows up in the MyCart. The css style: "k2storeCartRemove" is simple missing from your template reference. This button does not show up on your demo page too. You can check it out. Something is overwriting this in your template. If I remove the K2Store and install the new version from there website this button is still not shows up.

Can you fix this issue?

Thank you again, I really appreciate your input and help here!

Hi!
I just realized 2 more issue with your Restaurant template.
1) If you check your demo page ( http://demo.gavick.com) and select Restaurant, in Internet Explorer 9 or 8 Compatibility view (if the "display website in compatibility mode" is checked in the compatibility option the whole website is just falling apart completely. Half of the users are using IE in compatibility mode.

And this is not just the Restaurant template. ALL of your 2012 templates are braking apart completely in IE 9 or 8 if the compatibility view is on.

Can you tell me a solution for this issue?

2) If I change the images in the gk header area (the original gk custom html module) to png images these images appears with black border around them in Internet explorer 8 (with or without compatibility view)

These images are not links, just images. And only in the header area (on the black board where the Welcome text is)

Thank you very much I would really appreciate your help and recommendation here!
