Positions problem

Hello,

i want to use a slideshow with sizes bigger than those i set for the middle column so i put the slideshow in left_top postition and it appearl also in the top_up position because of the bigger sizes. I am okay with that but when i try to put other module in top_down position it goes in front of the slideshow. How can i fix that and the modules in the positions under "top_up" to appear under the slideshow?
