Site URL: www.competemag.com

Summary: Error codes appearing on some browsers.
Steps to Reproduce: Don't know. Error doesn't show on my computer, but does on others.
Results: The mess of error codes below.

Some people are experiencing problems with my website and I don't know the cause is so I am emailing all the support groups for my major components in the hopes that someone can help.

Some browsers, not all, show the error messages below at the top of each page....
it seems to happen with Internet Explorer but has never happened on my own computer so I don't know what the problem is.

Please disable PHP errors, notices and warnings on php.ini file.
If you don't have access to this file, try adding this line on .htaccess file.

Code: Select all
php_flag display_errors off

Cheers ;)

Thanks for the fast reply! I don't want to sound like a complete dunce, but how do I 'disable' the errors, notices and warnings when i get to the php.ini file?

I've found that doing the Delete Browsing History in IE gets rid of the errors, but I'd rather not have them pop up in the first place.
Thanks again for your help

Hi

Maby I can explain. Joomla was developed over years and some functions are like in php4 others are newly coded in php5. Due to this incompatibility site throw warnings but site works fine. Even Joomla developers are telling to disable error showing. You can change it also at Joomla Panel Global Configuration for server by setting "Error showing" to "none".
