Hi,

I would like some help with this template layout. Especially for the home page,

A large space is left in banner1 area (even if you upload something into banner1 area), what can I do to get rid of this space. www.theydt.org

I also removed (disabled) the footer (bottom left), but no change. Whats controlling this.

I also tried to edit/ add content in mainbody, but you can use shadowbox effects on images, so I decidded to add content to diffrent area, but spacing does not come out well.

Also the template rounded corners does not show in ie8 or opera only on chrome.

Please help to resolive these issues, my client is not pleased with the outcome.

Peace

Hi

I think You are mixing up the positions. Please take a look here http://www.theydt.org/index.php?tp=1

Some things like for example rounded corners are not showing right in every browser due to the fact that not every browser is supporting CSS3 code. This was done on purpose because if some browsers wants to stay on market all need to follow standards.

EDIT: Please also avoid to place modules into mainbody. This is a position for dynamic content and using this position may occurs with not showing it.

Thanks, that worked great.

Needed advice on few other things:

1) What module control the footer right hand side:

"Template Design Joomla Templates | GavickPro. All rights reserved."

2) would like to use the same style for shadowboxes on the site (same as login and register). Can you give me any advice on a extension or where I can access source code to get other shadow boxes to look the same.

"please check home page: http://www.theydt.org, first tab titled More Info"

3) on the same shadow box you'll find an article with the site blue gradient background. Can you let me know how to remove this? Should look better in white.
PS: the project is for a not for profit organisation and they are very impresses with the support you are giving. Keeps it going?
Look forward to your advice.

Peace

Hi

1. You can find it in template configuration under "Copyright"
2. Possible but needs a lot of work to do. The best way is to change the code of the shadowboxes to the one you want. Less work, but can be tought too.
3. I cannot see it. Please guide me.

Hi

3. Please go to http://www.theydt.org/templates/gk_elve ... mplate.css

and remove the line

Code: Select all
background:url("../images/style1/main_bg_gradient.png") repeat-x scroll 0 0

from class:

Code: Select all
body {
background:url("../images/style1/main_bg_gradient.png") repeat-x scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
font-family:Arial,Verdana,sans-serif;
line-height:20px;
}

but it's also the gradient for every page so the best option would be to add this class at the end of template.css

Code: Select all
.contentpane {
background:none !important;
}

2. Please show me the exact JCE Editor lightbox You would like to customize and how You would like to have it. Than we'll move the disscussion to provate for this additional work.

Hi,

To update elvesocial template please copy new template files (gk_elvesocial) to /templates/gk_elvesocial/

You can backup this files in your server early.

To install jomsocial theme copy catalog "gk_style" to /components/com_community/templates/ and then in administration panel Components->JomSocial->Configurations in "Layout" select template.
