There is a new verion of GK4 News Pro out.. how to upgrade?

Do you need to unistall old version first and if so will I lose my settings? I tried to just upload and it stated that there was already installed...

You don't have to uninstall.

You have to upload the files and overwrite the files on server.

How about the install function from Joomla ? Can we upgrade from there by install the new version ?

I dont want to experiment with my site, can we have an official reply from the moderators please about the upgrade procedures?
The : For upgrade please replace old files with the new ones.
is not enough for me , if there is no option from joomla installation then we have to know where are the files of the module to replace them , in what folders .

Please backup your previous version and then overwrite all module files via ftp connection. All this changes are always 100% safe when you have backup

Well also these are not so good how to info's because the module files are not only in the mod_news_pro_gk4 but also in language file of joomla.

So I think it will be better to have the zip file available to install via installation process of Joomla or give exactly the folders where are the files going in joomla installation .

Also I suggest and I think it would be better the zip file from the name mod_news_pro_gk4_J17!.zip at the download page https://www.gavick.com/download/extensi ... o-gk4.html to have the name of the version example: mod_news_pro_gk4_J17!2_2.zip so to recognize it easily.

Are the upload the zip file in the root and unzip it will work ?

When upgrading there are 2 files outside the main folder (mod_news_pro_gk4). These files are style.css and template_css.css. Where do you replace these files because they are not in the mod_news_pro_gk4 folder.
