Module height changes for IE7 & older

In IE8 compatibility mode or IE7 and older, the height of the NSP module gets much larger with empty space below the content.

I noticed [using firebug] that the minimum height changes to a larger number in the above mentioned browsers but I have no idea how to correct it. Any help is appreciated.
