New Show Pro MySql database connectior error

I am usign New Show pro for Joomla 1.5 and I get this erro

But another issue, in the blurb, before accessing the full news, I get the article heading, then before the short text (which I control from the module) I get Untitled document then followed by the text.

Any advice on how to solve this?
