How to display news on the frontpage?

How to display news on the frontpage?

I publish the module on the frontpage. This page is used by default in mainmenu. When I follow the link, news opens in a new window. How to make that news opened on the frontpage?
If I publish the module on any other page news is displayed correctly, in a position a top.
I used different options in adjustment, but it has not helped me. This problem only on the frontpage.
