Hi,
I ve a problem with gavick's template, Text limit doesn't running well. I can't find where is the pb, cache, I've try a lot of configuration ?
I must to update this module. In help file nothing.
How to update this module

I just tried to uninstall the old version first and then tried a reinstall the mod but it must have deleted the database entries as well since it seems that I have to reconfigure everything. Luckily I do backups :)

Perhaps a file overwrite with FTP/SCP would do the trick. I'll post back with my results as soon as my backup is restored...

*Update: Nope that didn't help either.

I'm looking for an answer for something maybe simple and wondering why nobody gives: how to update this module withouth destrying the website ??????

Take a complete backup of your site and try to remove the old module and then install the new version.

The easiest way is always overwrite module files via ftp connection ... that's all.
