READMORE configuration: hack or config ?

Hello,

I would like the READMORE button to be displayed only if
- the article text could not be shown within the maximum number of words to display
- or if within this maximum number of words a <hr id="system-readmore" /> appears

Is this possible via configuration of NSP or do I need to hack NSP ?

PS: I use NSP with "Clean (X)HTML" set to Off.

The lack of answer on this forum for a such a simple question is a bit disappointing.

I went for a hack. Limited to normal article content. I didn't investigate the the other source of content.
Anyone interested in that hack, just PM me.

Sorry for now answering, means Your post must have been missed.

Is the hack working fine ? I thought the Clean (X)HTML off prevents the article to be cutted. This is because of validation errors which may occure while cutting in the middle of HTML tab.

The hack works fine.
It has nothing to do with Cleaned HTML. All I do is is retrieving the presence of a fulltext in the article data and the fact that the function cuttext has cutted the text. If both are false then I don't show the Readmore button.

But for the Cleaned HTML, you are right, your cuttext function may bring some problems when Cleaned HTML is set to off and the cut text is not valid HTML. It's a risk. But I definitely need the links within the articles to remains active in the module.
