I am currently using mod_news_pro_gk4 on a homepage of a website i have built for a client. Im pretty sure that when i built it, clicking on any article in the list on the homepage took the user through to the news area to view the article. Recently i have noticed that it refreshes the homepages and displays the article at the bottom of the screen? Is this a setting that has been changed perhaps? I really need those links to take you through to the news area, can anyone advise on this?

Hi

It's a problem with menu settings. Please connect this article with any other menu item.

Hi

Im not sure im with you. The articles are linked to the right category and as far as im aware this has nothing to do with the menu?

Site in question is http://omnisconstruction.com/

The news is at the bottom right, News is generated by section: news, category: latest. Clicking on any of the news links re-generates the article on the homepage and does not direct to the news page as it should. attached is a visual of the module that should control the news on the homepage, hope this helps.

Hi

Yes this is a problem with menu. This articles need to be attached to the menu item without modules etc. Right now it's being displayed in the mainbody of the page where module has been placed.

Hi

Create a menu item which will have for example type section with this articles. After selecting article this page will be displayed.

keithriches wrote:The news articles that are generated are linked to a category. When the client adds news articles they do it through the front end administrator. These articles are automatically linked into the module within the news section. I simply created another module that lists these news items on the homepage. If i create another menu so to speek then they wont all appear in the same area?

Hi

This is exacly solution You need :) Simply create a new menu item with section view of the section clients are adding news. Try it. You will see that than all articles will be opening on that page. I think taht unpublishing this menu item will not breake the solution, but I'm not sure (there are a numbers of way how to hide such item).

I had this problem too. It is important to note that the menu item does not need to be published!

Hi

Yes You do not have t publish, but if You want to have the site clean You can always create an additional menu for this dummy items only.
