how to upgrade to nsp2.3.1

Hello,

I'm a new member of Gavick, and I installed the theme postnote.
When I check the update enabled from the nsp modul installed on the postnote quickstart joomla installation I see the last version is 2.3.1
But how should I do this upgrade? I mean, should I uninstall the old module? or can I overwrite this module with the new version?
Of course, I'd like to do this upgrade without disconfigure the quickstart installation.
