I'm using template Corporate 2, K2 v.2.3 and NSP GK4 v.1.7
Actually the NSP GK4 is my primary tool for K2 content retrieval.

I tried to install NSP GK4 v.2.0 and I received:

* Module Install: Another module is already using directory: "C:wampwwwmodulesmod_news_pro_gk4"

Message: Install Module Error
:unsure:

I tried also to unzip mod_news_pro_gk4_J15! and copy all folder/files on my local server test installation. The result was an unstable situation.

Is there a way just to install the upgrade without unistalling v.1.7 and re-installing v.2.0? If I do so I have to setup all modules from the begining :S

Thanks,
George

I have same problem.

I have even uninstall old News Pro GK 1.7 and installed 2.0 version but my website simply don't display when i turning module on and pick category to display news.

Module only works when i left source of content blank but but then there is no content.

any ideas?

Hi

I'm affraid NSP 2.0 is a diffrent module. It has many more options and probably overwritting it won't cover it in database :(

So i understand that i should remove all tables and whatever left in database from 1.7 version before instalation 2.0?

Guys - News Show Pro GK4 v.2.0 is the same module as News Show Pro GK4 v.1.* - to upgrade it you have to upload via FTP files to the modules and language directory or uninstall order version and install the newest.

Please try to add in template index.php file at beginning lines:

ini_set('display_errors', 'on');
ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL);

I have a different problem
News Pro Show 2.0 is installed and it seems works but I have a problem in homepage modules... under the text of the article I have information order (%DATE | %HITS | %COMMENTS) but now I see them twice! (but in the backend the second information order is turno to OFF)

you can see it in this immage that I attach:

Furthermore, the link count is still not working after upgrade to NSP 2.0

Another problem (perhaps is related to the above problem):

In the backend when I open a NSP module in the description on the left I read:
News Show Pro GK4 Joomla 1.5 GK4 v.1.6

why v.1.6 ??? I always upgrade in the past... I don't know
maybe i upgraded only the modules and not the backend? How can i update the backend too?
Sorry, maybe it's a stupid question but I don't know how to do it

I use jcomments 2.2.0.2

I tried to insert this in the index file:
ini_set('display_errors', 'on');
ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL);

and i've got this output in return:
Notice: Undefined variable: output in /Users/gabrielebigatti/Sites/coldplayzone/templates/gk_party_freak/html/mod_search/default.php on line 56

I'm doing these test in local..

please help

Tell the programmer to look at this thread too as it seems to be the same thing

http://www.gavick.com/forum/90-mystore/67578-mystore-and-java-124-upgrade.html

Again the site is here, as a matter of fact I have 10 sites that this template resides on and all have the same issue.
