I just installed the latest version of News Show Pro GK4. I have the following installed:

- Joomla 1.5.20
- News Show Pro GK4 1.7
- cache folder is set to 755

I have tried News Show Pro GK4 right out of the box and linked it to a module on my home page. The page loads blank. If I disable this module, the home page loads fine. I tried changing many of the settings and it has not helped.

Is it a mootools issue?

In the Google Chrome browser, I get the following additional message on my blank home page:

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://www.sportfestwindsor.org/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

More information on this error
Below is the original error message

Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

Am I missing something? Can someone please help? Thanks.

Hi

Did You use more than one NSP4 modules on the site. Probably You just need to set an unique module id to each one. But please enable error showing at Joomla Panel to maximum so I can see the error.

News Show Pro GK4 prevents my site from coming up:

Thanks for your quick reply. I have only one item so I don't think it is an ID problem.

I uninstalled & reinstalled. I noticed on my server that the ownership of the News Pro module folder was "Apache" instead of "root", which is the owner of everything else on my site, so I changed the folder recursively to "root as the owner.

I entered one module, choosing only featured K2 items from certain categories, to be shown on a module position on the home page only, and I still get the same problem where it prevents the site from showing.

Any chance you could log into my site to take a look? I had to disable the module so that my site will keep working.

Your help on this is much appreciated. Thanks again.

Hi

Ok. I did what You suggested and the site went blank. But when I changed the source of articles to diffrent categories all went fine. So I think that maby You should choolse less categories for the source. I have no idea but please play with this settings and You find Yourself what suits You better.
