That black background color doesn't come from css, it's from your images itself, check this example to see http://www.florentiasouvenir.it/shop/mo ... sp_485.png

Try to use larger images for your products, or reduce thumbnail size in the module configuration.

Sorry but i must tell you that you are wrong, the original image has not black background, is impossible.
I have charged each image on virtuemart and any of these has only white background, sure about this!
The original image is only 220x160 px so there is something thah put black background behind it.
If you take a look at the product inside virtuemart you can see it:

Any other suggestion?

Thanks

In the module, you set thumbnail size to 170x90, is that right? And your original images have size of 220x160, now open photoshop and resize/crop any original image to 170x90, try if you can do that, I believe you can't, because those sizes don't have the same ratio. Hope you can understand something after reading this.

Thanks Don,

unfortunately there is no way to manage this, cause images are too much differents from each one.

I tried to change one image to make size over the thumbnail size (if you look at the product now that is 250x250) but this did not solve the problem.

Also i changed thumbnail size into module, now is 120x120 but the result is only more little thumbs on front page, and same "black space" behind them.

Do you really think there is no way to work around it? Somewhere should be the code that defines the background...

I'd like to debug further to change the black background color to white if you could give me an admin account and FTP account of the site.

I made changes in this file: /shop/modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/gk_classes/gk.thumbs.php

Can't tell you how I changed because it was pretty much and I can't remember exactly. You can download the module to compare that file with the original one.

If you found it helpful, a donation is welcome :)
