Can thumbnails link to an external URL?

Hey Guys,

I've been playing with this module for a while and I love the look, but I can't seem to figure out how to set the thumbnails to link to an external URL. Also (if that's possible), where would the thumbnail images be generated from? Can I control these images? Any advice will help... Thanks!

Thumbnails are generated from article images or k2 item images.
