Hi,

I have searched through the documentation and the Forum but I cant find an answer so I'm starting a new thread.

I am trying to add a NSP Module to a section of my website as a type of landing page for that category and its sub categories.
I have various sections of the site and each has sub-sections below(Categories and sub.categories) and I want each main category to have a "Magazine" style page with a NSP module in the main body top position showing all the latest articles from the category - like a mini-homepage for each category. The sections are organised as follows:
Section 1
-SubSection 1a
-SubSection 1b
-SubSection 1c
Section 2
-SubSection 2a
-SubSection 2b
-SubSection 2c
-etc.

Sounds simple, however if I create an NSP module to be displayed in Section 2 and select K2
Categories as the Data Source, not all the categories are available. For example, Section 2 from the example given above, would not available so I cannot add its content to the NSP module!!!

Is the explanation clear?
Please let me know what I am doing wrong and why all my K2 categories are not available?

BTW, the headings "Section 1", "Section 2" are main menu items as well - the sub categories are not necessarily menu entries.

Please let me know how to advance with this.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi

I think You just need to select all categories along with subcategories of this. But I may understood it wrong, so please send me an access to joomla panel. I'll check.

hi teitbite,

I was just wondering if you got my email. I sent access details to the email in your signature. I am still having the problem that only some of the K2 categories are available through the News Pro module - I'm not sure why this would be!

please let me know if you find out.

Thanks in advance

Hi

Yes I got it, but guess what :) An access is not working:

You do not have access to the administrator section of this site.

Hi again,

I'm not sure why this access was not working. I have reviewed it and not it appears to have admin access. Sorry for the mix-up. I have just emailed you the access once again.

Please let me know if it is now working and if you can get to the bottom of this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Steven

Hi

I have logged in. Do not worry, it's not a problem. I'm glad we can finally work this out.

I've compared categories displayed by NSP and acctual categories in K2, but all published categories are visible. I think what You have in mind is that a category "To Drink" is trashed, but it has most of the subcategories attached to it. Let me know if it's what You needed.
