Image problem: Thumbnail settings didn´t run

Have configure the module like in the News-Template Demo woth the Big Image left:
http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/news/

Want to use 300px images and change the thumbnail settings, but nothing happens. The Module save the wrong size and scale the image up.

Think the problem is that the module save and scaled the wrong size in the cache folder:

1. My article Image have the size 300x180 px
2. In the Module view under Image Info I get this Infos: 300px × 120px (Scaled to 383px × 153px)
