Hi,

I have an issue with dates that you are able to pick inside the GK 4 News Pro module configuration.

I can't seem to find an option for 'Published date'. What do I need to do to be able to show aticles by Publish date and not Created date inside a GK 4 News Pro module?

Please see attached screenshot.

Hi

Please edit file: mod_news_pro_gk4.xml

Look for a line:

Code: Select all
                            <option value="created">MOD_NEWS_PRO_GK4_DATE</option>

and replace "creates" with "publish_up", than open the module configuration, choose this item and save one more time.

Is there any way I can do something similar for k2 items? I want to display by 'finish publishing' date?

I want to display items that are about to expire...

Also is there any way I can add this option rather then replacing the current 'by date' option? Thanks.

Hi

I think method would be the same, but You need to add this instead:

Code: Select all
<option value="publish_down">by publishing date</option>

Thanks teitbite,

I'll try it out.

Is it possible for to add that option to the list rather then overwriting it?

Hi

Yes of course. Added or replaced should work the same.

Hi

To be honest before this thread I was thinking it's gonna be harder. I'm glad it's not and glad I could help.

OK, here's a challenge... can I do it so it sorts using a K2 extra field?

I have set up a K2 'extra field' which is a date field. I would like to sort using that... if at all possible.

Hi

Sorry this is a big customization. I've done that before (but it frontent search) for my client and spend a lot of hours on that. We do not support such customization on forum, but if You want we can discuss the cost privately. Please use my mail if You're interested.
