Virtuemart manufacturer in News Show Pro GK4

Hello,

has anyone ever made a hack to display virtuemart manufacturer in News Show Pro GK4? The module is very convenient and it would allow to display nicely manufacturers with scrollers, just like it displays products.

What happened to this topic? I would like to do the same on the front page in New and Popular products that showing manufacturer (at least name and link) above the product name.

I’ve found the possible solution at http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=104486.0 and this should be easily hacked/added to News Show Pro. Which file and where to be adjusted?

It would be even better, if it is included at module manager to turn on/off.

This is not a full solution. NSP got it's own system to get data from database, so You need to start from it. Adding this may take some time, unfortunately I cannot help because this is a customization request.

Also, strikethrough on original price when there is a discount. But this one, I found a solution in this forum.

I think the manufacturer details should be a key feature in all ecommerce template. (option to display or not) Have a look around any websites that sells branded named products, they all showing manufacturer details. Now, I’m thinking the above template should been a better one for me than one at Garvick and at cheaper membership fees. DOH!

The template should be evolved over the time and should be added additional features that wanted and asked by many people in this forum rather than just updating to a recent version of Joomla and Virtuemart. Thanks

Template evolves and I'm helpin as much as I can can with this. What You asked was to show manufacturer in NSP module which is allready packed with options and adding this one will require great deal of additional codding. The examle You've shown me is done inside VM files directly. So please send me a FTP access to Your site and an url to it and I'll try to force the VM style show manufactures logo on top.

ATM, I haven’t properly set up a site yet (still going through various templates) however, if you can try on the demo and reply here the possible solution with code and file names then I will update mine when I’m ready. Also in that case, we can also share the solution with others. Thanks

Unfortunately adding this code is specific for any template and VM version. So You need to tell me this 2 informations before I'll be able to do this.
