Hi There,

I have some troubles getting the module working properly.

Here is my current setup:

Template: TNW2
K2 Main Category: Blog (Settings from News)
K2 Sub Category: Tour 2012 (Settings from World)
Main Menu item to K2 Categories: Blog
Frontpage show the module with data source from K2 Categories: Blog and Tour 2012

Now, as the screenshot shows, when you hover over the title, it shows the component url:

When I click on the title, the following post appears with no breadcrumb and component inside the URL:
Also, the main menu "home" is selected.

If I choose to go via the menu "Blog" to the appearing sub menu "Tour 2012" and choose the article, it is working correct:

It seems that the module is not working with not-linked subcategories. Is there any chance to get it working as it should? As you see, it is a blog section where I don't want to link each category or article.

Hope you have a solution for me ready ;-)

Cheers

All this articles are related with some categories and this categories with menu items ? In short words article need to be set to some menu item to properly generate path in Joomla.

Hi,

sorry, I guess I miss understood you. Do you really mean I have to link each article via an own menu item on a news website?

The articles are only in one subcategory.
A blog, in my case, has several categories with different kind of articles. Those categories are grouped within a main category called "blog" to organized them better. It's the same way you did on your TNW2 demo. But you are linking there as well to the sub instead to the main.

The link is working properly with the parent category, it's just the subcategory which seems to confuse your module a bit.

Cheers

You can link category/subcategory/article it depends of you menu structure, in fact every single article have to be related with some menu item. This is how it works in Joomla! the main menu is the root of your organization structure in site. Please look at our wiki for article "How to make links working" it will be also useful.

Hi,

well, I know how to create links ;)
I have a really simple setup.
One menu in the "main menu" links to the K2 parent category "blog". Your module shows all items within the subcategories which is correct. Just the links are not shown as they should. Also it will stay on the homepage instead of the article.
I hope the posted screenshots could be of help for you.

Thank you!
