Problem with selection categories vituemart

I have a problem with the module news_pro_gk4. When I want to do the source of articles, I can't select "Virtuemart categories". It shows message:
VirtueMart is not installed or any VirtueMart categories are available.
I have installed Virtuemart and it seems works fine.
Somebody can help me?

Please make sure that you are using latest version of the module, this seems to be a bug and has been fixed already. If you are but problem persists, then please send me a PM with backend and FTP access then I will check further for you.

Got the same problem after switching to another language (fr) than the default language.
In fact, after switching to fr, every category in VM is gone (wich explains why no category can be selected in NSP). When I switch back to en, categories are back, and NSP is working well too.

Yest the categories should gone because they were created for another language (in your case en-GB), please create some categories and set them to French language then you will see some items on list. It is correct approach because you can display products only for default language so products for English language are not available in French version.

I think my problem it's not the same with the language.
My default language is spanish and the categories was created in spanish

I need to advance in my joomla project. I think this is an important point for my project and I've proved with a new installation of virtuemart, a new intallation of news gkpro, I've made news categories with new installations.... but the problem is the same:
"VirtueMart is not installed or any VirtueMart categories are available."
I have virtuemart 1.1.9 and joomla 1.5.25

Please make sure that categories and products are set to this additional language, because when you firstly set VirtueMart component and then install another language the categories and products are available on for en_GB so obviously you can't see them on module.

Not only that, the classes in this module are for VirtueMart 2.0!.

Please firstly login to your database and check VM tables before you write. Since VirtueMart 2.0 the products have different tables depends on language and this is why in this queries is $lang included. You can select product only from categories which are set to default language. Common problem is that after user install external language and set it as a default the product and categories are still available for en_GB so you can't see them. Is there anyone who have VirtueMart with default settings and NSP with this problem ?

One more thing, since VirtueMart component make different changes in code and component features the NSP in latest version support only VM in 2.0 and higher version, because there is no way to fork code to two such different versions.

Hello - i'm having this same issue.

i have joomla 2.5.2 VM 2.0.2 and the latest gavick esport tempalte 2.7 and the latest news_pro_gk4 3.0.3

My website is in full russian as default language - VM only lang is Russian - yet i still get VirtueMart is not installed or any VirtueMart categories are available.

I have 4 categories.. the funny thing is that i udated the module and thats when it stopped working.. if i don't save (http://aleksandrshevchenko.org/store) the module it will work, however, if i want to make a change in the module settings - i will get "Error: No articles to display" after applying the changed. Obviously i already noticed that it said can't find the categories so i didn't save. However, i need to make some changes and this is no way around it of just not editing it.

What is the solution.

i've looked all over for the solution. Can't find one. I really need help. Can some one take a look at my site please and see what am i doing wrong.. however, it feels like it's a bug of some sort.

I did a quick test.. it seems that new pro gk 3.0.3 is less stable that 3.0 as everything worked there.. i just installed and updated everything but new_pro_gk and everything worked.. hmmm..

Got an answer from programmer:

When the front-end language is russian and backed english module can display only categories from front-end default language - in this case there are any categories for English language. I've switched back-end language to russin and there is no problem, simply user have access only to data source for selected language this is logical solution because avoid problems in front-end display.

oh my.. lol.. so when ever i want to make changes.. i have to change to RU in the BE.. thats cool..
