is this possible? the module is fantastic, obviously very flexible, just can't figure out this one ... seems that the repeat loop is for each entry on its own. is a "header" an option?

This is a good idea however you would need to do much customization to achieve that. I'm sorry I can't advise you more in this custom work, you may need to ask a dev to get it done for you.
