Which template is this ?

General idea would be to have header1 and header2 positions, set header1 70% of the width and set header2 30% and put slideshow in header1 and login module in header2 position.

As i dont know which template you are using suggesting code and css will be difficult.

So look where your current slideshow position and find it in templates codes.

Just for info few templates depending on design can have 2 modules in same template position which push each other depending on module size and work nicely.

It appears left aligned below the slider mixed in with the other content.

Which layout does slider position fall into ? To be honest did you asked template creator or rockettheme regarding this ? Because without knowing how template works in inner code it is really difficult for us to suggest anything thats going to help...

Well last suggestion would be incase slider position is in under feature layout which has only "a" suggesting it is the only module try making that into "a" "b" as in other layouts which could allow 2 modules side by side then we can adjust width of each module to fit in within template width...

Unfortunately, slider is not an option in the layout.

Posted wrong link correct link is as below which shows module positions
Code: Select all
http://demo.7studio.eu/joomla/fp/index.php/module-positions

You can publish slider and login modules in feature positions and set feature position to accomodate 2 module by setting its slider in layout settings to "a" "b" format. You might need to adjust css slightly tough.
