NSP GK4 Accordion links not working

NSP GK4 v3.2 | Template Financial Business | Joomla v1.5.23

Hi, trying to display an Accordion module in the Homepage. It displays the titles of the News (items of a K2 category)
Problem: clicking on the title of the item or the arrow does not open the accordion and does not take you to the news item either. Using Firebug tells you that there is no link attached to it It is just plain text!

- i have read the module instructions and found nothing that could be the problem
- I have tried to have the module in mainbody position and Top position
- The template has the Preset>Mainbody position set to "Mainbody or component"
- The items are in a K2 category
- The items have all a "Read more" break inserted
- The items are part of the main menu Home/News/latest news
- I have compared against the settings of the module in the demo and I can not see any difference
- When changing the module params to other displays (scrollers, etc) the links work
- The demo is working all right, but in the production website it does not work, the links are no links, just plain text!
