Updating News Show Pro

I have an old site wich I was updating, so I was changing from nsp gk4 1.7 to 3.1 but after installing 3.1 altough 1.7 is uninstalled it says that it is 1.7, and the backend is mixed, besides is not working properly, ie does not crop images, not even the preview on the backend, and options are always expanded, and there's no way to collapse them.

What should I do to make it work properly, I have deleted every folder, temp and anything related to nsp gk4 but still the same.

I have the same problem! I have update the module and then the backend is the old one mixed with the new functionality that doesn't work...

I tried to remove the folder of the module and reinstalled it but nothing changed.


Someone of the staff can help us, please?

Can we have some support from the staff?

I resolved the problem with the support ticket. They says that: "Version starting from a new number is like a completly different produkt. Please do not upgrare it but replace it as it was a completly new module."

You have to remove the folder under /modules/mod_news_pro_gk4 and all the language file of the module ad example
/language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_news_pro_gk4.ini
/language/it-IT/it-IT.mod_news_pro_gk4.ini

than you can reinstall the 3.x version of the module

If there are problems with the language you can copy and rename the new /language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_news_pro_gk4.ini under your language folder.
