Black and White: NSP shows the rrror: No articles to display

Installed 'News Show Pro GK4' ver. 1.6 on 'Black and White' template. Four modules of mod_news_pro_gk4 type are created and on placed on position user2 to user4. Although the captions of the four modules are displayed on the frontpage, no articles are shown. No matter which article ID i choose in the data source option, always get the error message 'Error: No articles to display'. Funnily enough the module some content shows up if I choose 'Joomla! categories' instead 'Joomla! arctiles'.

None of programmer can explain that

Also they've made some tests on a different site and this problem never occures. SO it would be the best to try to reinstall the module. Maby a broken file during upload is causing the problem.

Is there any progress on this issue?

I have the same problem with postnote. I've installed the quickstart 1.7 on my host and the site worked fine until I deleted all of the existing categories to replace with my own. The four squares (portfolio) in the middle of the frontpage all disappeared and the message: Error: No articles to display showed up instead.

I've created new categories, articles and "News Show Pro GK4" modules from scratch but still the same error. Like others, using 'Joomla Categories' as the Data Source works fine but using Joomla Articles doesn't.
Some solution would be appreciated.

Hi, thank you for the fix but I should have mentioned that I'm using Joomla 1.7 and it seems that your fix is for 1.5. Any chance for the 1.7 fix?

Please check updates. I get the 1.5 fix from programmers, so I believe the same fix for 1.7 version will be available soon.

As far as I know programmers are releasing fixes every monday, so hopefully this one will fit there. Unfortunately I do not know how much work do they have.

Any news about this ? I'm using The World News II quickstart 1.7 and whenever i create new categories and configure the module to pull out the news, i also get the "No articles to display" ..

Module was set to show at least 5 articles but inside the category You had only one article and module was set to ignore the first article. I've added more categores to it so not it looks ok.

Well, i've created some more articles on the category that i want to display. Now is working, but whenever i click on the module article title, the article does not open, only the homepage refreshes with the article URL instead of the home URL.

Can you please help me also on this issue ?

Hi

This is an issue with a wrong menu structure.

First please enable showing mainbody on frontpage in template parameter so You will se an article is showing where it was clicked.

Secondly create a menu item with a section/caegory or image view of articles used in this module. This way article will land on this page.
