Article image popup issue

Hi,
I am having difficulties finding the reason that makes the article image load like a normal image not in a "light box". Do you know where I can fix this issue? (see the screenshot for a clear view of the issue)

Please check it in another browser - for me the popup is working fine at our demo.

You demo is fine, I just use the example to show how it actually is on my site. SO the problem exists only on mine.
Would you please tell me what actually creates this effect? is it a module, template feature, editor feature or plugin? Maybe that would help me figure out what is different on my site.

This effect is added to all links around the images which have class="modal".

I checked the code for images on my side -which are not ok- and cross checked them with the Demo site - which work fine- and both have the same style. Below is mine:

But still the image opens as you are browsing the image address above.

Ok, now I know what can cause your issue - did you upgraded K2 to v.2.7? If yes - please upgrade also at least the html/com_k2 directory in your template, because K2 v.2.7 have changed modal dialogs engine and now it is working in a different way with data-k2-modal attributes.
