Can't edit Template Style in Administrator

Hi,

I've been using TechNews for about 2 months now and for some reason since yesterday I can't edit the template style. When I click on gk_technews - Default browser loads and then just shows same template selection screen with no messages or anything. So I updated to J3.4.7 hoping it would solve something but no such luck.

Any thoughts?

Eventually I did manage to get to see an error:

Error
You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#17).

I ended up backing up the template folder!
I copied the template folder from the clean quickstart I'm also running. No luck.
I then downloaded the template again and installed it over the current install. Then I saw the error, clicked template again and it opened an am able to edit it.
I then copied a freshly saved config from my other site running identical template and copied the altered .less files from there and loaded the config and everything is fine now.

Weird issue.

Well, though it was fixed but got home from work, logged in to change something and once again, no template edit screen and no error.

Any idea?

Hi

Yes, please start with updating joomla. If this will not help clear cache and session. If Your session informations storage are set to database than run a repair function in database manager. If it's set to file, make sure permissions to this files are set to allow scripts to modify it.
