Translation of the cookie policy and the newsletter popup wi

Could you please explain where and how to translate these 2 modules?

I finally found out how to change the translation for the newsletter popup. It's a module called Newsletter popup that you need to duplicate and then translate and then define the good language and then publish. It's working now.

But please help for the cookie policy module. I did find the file en-GB.tpl_gk_hotel.ini that copy and change the name for fr-FR.tpl_gk_hotel.ini (fo French) and I did translate those lines:

But it doesn't change anything in the French version!
What am I missing?
Where do I have to store the French file?

Cookie plugin can work in 2 ways. First is to be loaded from files on server, second to be loaded directly from developer's site. I'm afraid while it's used from developer site it cannot be translated. In template settings You can switch it to local installation.

I don't get it. You mean it comes from your server gavick.com?
The english version of the text do not come from the installed html files or the database from gitevillageois.be ?

And how do we switch to local installation in template settings? After that what else do we need to do to make it work correctly for a multilingual website?

Is it possible to unpublish or to unplug the cookie plugin?

I mean that in template configuration You can select if You want to use: local installation (this can be translated as files are in You template folder), a latest version from developer (You would have to talk to plugin developer how to translate it) or disabled. I would advice to disable it and use a 3rd party plugin. The copy which is included in template works good and can be updated, but need an older version of jQuery which may cause some problems in the future when You will install extension not compatible with this library.

Hello! I have the same problem: I want to use a local installation of this cookie plugin... please tell, where exactly can I switch this.
In admin panel I only have two inputs for cookie settings: domain and path for cookie.

Not every template has this option to switch. There were some reports of not correct working of the local installation so in newer templates it has been limited to external installation. But there is a lot of this plugins enabled, so You may use a different one instead: http://extensions.joomla.org/category/s ... ie-control
