Front page change to slider

Is any way to make the front page more flexible? I'm trying to add a slider (in this case I'm using the plugin LayerSlider. the slider works perfect inside the "content" as page, but when I use the template "front page" it never works, looks weird. I know I can pur the slider inside a div, but how I can kill all the css and make it as I want.
