paypal redirection error 1146

Hi Team,
I have a big redirection problem with VM paypal. Indeed when a customer places order on my site, if he chooses the method of payment Paypal Standard, it is redirected out of my site to the paypal platform (until no worries). If he drops the transaction on paypal, the customer returns to my site with an error 1146. I could see on the forum that it could come from multilanguage. Yet I have French and English installed on my site, French being the default language. Can you help me, thanks
