Don't see the images in categories and products in VM

i install quickstart pack and i created several categories, but when i put a picture does not show in front and admin.

Where could be the problem?

Hard to tell. I would start with checking if images folder permissions are 755 and allowing upload files. Second guess will be a lack of space on the server. Try checking VM forums as well, maybe there is a problem with their component.
