registration form not reponsive

Hi,
We have installed and started to use the quark template.
We have just realized (yes should have done more testing beforehand) that the template is not responsive when checking out and especially in the registration form. I release the cart page is to wide to be responsive due to the number of columns but the registration form is not responsive – it has scroll bars when using it on a mobile.
Also, the template seems a bit slow compared to some other VM templates I have seen. Yes, the gavick cache is turned on. But I am compering the Demo template online with other templates.
I haven’t tried it yet with jotcache but I am just compering them the templates “out of the box”
