Slider in header Quark template

Hello,
I am aware there were others before me asking this question: how to place a slider in header instead of the static image? Is there someone who managed to make this work? I tried with the GK4 image module with different styles but no images were shown. Tried with the iceslideshow module, same problem. Tried lot of options and settings and in best case got one image to show up (without any animation). So is there anyone who managed to place a working slider module in header position of Quark template?
