Quark ecommerce product image popup

Hi,
I would like to know if it possible to make the additional product images appear in a popup rather than in the default page.
Possibly in the same styling as the image gallery popup.
Now the additional images open on the default page and page back has to be used to proceed.
It would make sense if all popup's would have a consistent appearance but I can imagine that that is pretty much impossible due to VM.

Tried the solution that seemed to work for Storebox but does not work for Quark Ecommerce..

in order get things working correctly, remove: default_images.php
from: templates/gk_quark/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails
To remove the title of the image add:

  display: none !important;
}

to override.css
