Quark eCommerce - Front Header - image scale problem

Hi,
Been away a while so need a bit of help with image scaling...

When using Quark eCommerce - any image(.png) I use other than the demo 'header_img.png' (a single shoe)
does not scale correctly.
Am I doing something wrong?
