Quark and VM product images

Hello to the wonderful Gavick team,

I am currently working on a project based on the amazing Quark template. It's a clean Joomla 3.4.1 installation with VM3, in a localhost LAMP environment.

What I want to achieve is to restore the default VM behavior regarding the additional product images. The default template behavior is configured to open an additional image on a new page, instead of replacing the main image on the product details page. Also, the fancybox pagination links shall be fixed, because currently they seem to ignore additional product images.

I would also appreciate some guidance regarding the re-implementation of the product image zoom, that was featured in other templates (and possibly earlier versions of VM).

Actually, I managed to solve the main problem without even touching a single file. It's now a configuration setting in VM (Configuration->Templates->Media Files settings->Open additional images in the main position).

I would still appreciate, though, any guidance regarding the product zoom feature.
