Parallax Scrolling with Text

I would like to use parallax to scroll text over a solid background. I am able to get the text to display over the background but it does not scroll. Do I have to convert the text to an image or is there a way to scroll the text?

Are you referring to any particular template? Is the same effect available on our demo server?

I am using the quark template. I think I figured it out. I was using several background images so I simplified it and am only using 2 backgrounds and it seems to be working.
