To be honest, in my opinion this slider:

works much better, do not need lightbox, can be easy implemented and works well on mobile devices.

but..
not real fast and big galleries. But even these small can quickly and fun to build.

I think you mess 2 different solutions here. Image Show or Slick gallery is a image slider element which displays on the site. sigplus and other lightbox solutions are prepared to show bigger photos in overlay. You can always use sigplus instead of IS.

IS - it is simply a widget CSS, very cool, but the widget.

Sigplus - is a way to create a real dynamic gallery. But It lacks only such style (method) show pictures from the gallery like "Photoswipe Image Gallery" - therefore I write about the engine sigplus.

Going back to original topic. It is either language barrier or something else. IS is completely different than SigPlus, and there is no reason for either duplicating functionality that is already there, or merging two completely different ones into on.

I think there is no reason for going further into this topic.
