I've installed the Restaurant version of the Quark template (great work team - very nice!) and am looking for the setting that overrides the Browser tab label. It still says "Quark - Universal Joomla template". I'd like that to read for the site but I just can't find it.

Thanks!

You need to edit meta tags via editing homepage menu item in menu editor.

Thanks! I had to search a bit. Specifically, in Menu Manager: click on the Home page menu, select the Page Display sub tab, change the "Browser Page Title" field as desired.

Exactly, you can also set description and keywords there.

That brings up an interesting question: what does the additional tagging and metadata do? I don't think it appears on the browser tab so is it used for the search engines?

Additional tagging? Could you please be more specific?

Apologies, I wrote that before thinking. I was asking about the metadata tab and I know that's for the home page overall.

It should set metadata header (it is visible when you show page sourcecode). It used to be very important for seo, nowdays it should be set but it is not that important anymore.
