Wiping the pink

Just installed the quark and found a pink #f079a3 everywhere.
I'm trying to edit the ../templates/gk_quark/css/override.css with the right color I want, but with no success.
Copied, pasted and then edited the css, but no changes at all.
What do I miss? Has the override to be activated in some way?

Yes, go to the template manager, and activate the override function in the advanced tab.
