Can I rename a module, such as tabs, from gkBottom1 to MyModuleName, then set that as a link in the menu? I ask because I tried that and it didnt seem to work. I am looking for a clean url, such as "mysite.com/#about-us" (rather than "mysite.com/#gkBottom1")

Or as an alternative, can we turn off the #-tag in the url?

Sorry, but quark currently doesn't have such functionality.

Maybe this could be put on the 'feature request tickler list?' this yields a seriously undesirable url, hence a deficient seo result (though perhaps with htaccess i can find a way to 'unwrite' the undesired #hashtag. Otherwise, based on the way I want to use the template, I may not be able to build the production site over it.

I did exactly that - it is added to a functionality request list.

Thank you! Would love to put this excellent build into production.

Sadly I'm afraid it will not help much if you are short on time. As a feature request it might take a while (at least few weeks) to add such functionality.

I have some time - I'll continue the build until it's "pencils down." Even if not available right away, I can use it on a future build. I love the template and will definitely put it to work.

It looks like this feature may be have been anticipated. The attached didn't work, but it seems like we're part way there.

I'm wondering where did you found this configuration as I'm not familiar with it.

mod_tabs_gk5. I attached a new screenshot, revealing more of the configuration panel.

Oh, I thought you found it somewhere in template. I'm afraid this feature can't be used in the way you want. Its for gkTabs purpose only.

Yes, and I can see why. But hopefully a clean URL is in the future for this splendid template. : )

I'll let you know when it will become part of the template.

I wanted to use 'Creativity,' but it has the same issue. So that site, too, cannot go to production.

However, the url displays as desired in 'John' (except for #gkheader). Unless those URL's are hard-coded, it looks like you may already have the code you need.

I was working in MAMP thus no URL; but I notice the exact same behavior on the versions posted on your demo page.

Some of our new themes has a functionality na,ed module id override (module position override). Quark doesn't right now.

one workaround i've messed with is using a smooth scroll to an anchor (assuming one is suing a module that can accept an anchor, it works). We are also working on a JS to simply strip the hashtag from the url without forcing a reload.

A a successful workaround (a bit laborious) has been to use a $5 plugin that reads an anchor tag placed in a custom html, positioned directly above the gkmodule we are really trying to get to. The plugin hashes the url with the anchor tag, so we can name the anchor whatever we want. In one demo I, I added a few module positions to house the custom html with anchor (and used css to make those modules max-height: 1px;)

It appears that the way to do this entirely within the gk template package would require the ability to specify an anchor tag in the module parameters, and pass this variable to the gk template code.

Newest quark template should have this feature in menu section of template settings.
