background image height/width

Hi, I am having some trouble in getting the correct dimensions for the background image.
This in almost all situations. Despite the fact that I tried to use the some size as with the demo, some of the images don't cover the whole screen, white space at the bottom, or seem scrollable (left/right)..
Also adjustment of the text on the landing page, margin from top for example and "learn more" button are not very clear to me?

Does Quark support direct links on to other modules? For example I want the "learn more" button on the landing page to scroll down to the bottom?
If so how do I set them?
Thanks for the help!

Lets start with the images.
I have checked your site and can't see any of described issues. Could you please specify what screen size you use, is it a mobile device issue etc.

it is visible in many screen resolutions, but you can see clearly the beginning of the next module, while only the first image should be visible.
See screen-print.
Thanks for the help,
Ben
PS URL has changed: didit-audio.com

It works better now.
I think there was wrong assumption that the 1rst module should cover entire screen. I have checked also other modules and depending on screen aspect ratio they are sometimes smaller than browser's viewport height, sometimes larger.

Now if it goes to scrolling to a section - in template settings - Menu tab you can find Module ID override option which allows you to name module posiiton in more "human/readable" way. This way you can use:
Code: Select all
http://somesite.com/#yourCustomAnchor

to scroll to a particular position.

Hi Cyberek,

thanks for looking and your advise!
I will give the anchor a try!

How about the position of the text and button on the landing site?
Whenever I adjust the margins of one of them, they both seem to change!?
Could you give me some explanation of how to adjust either one of them?

Regards,

Ben

Ok, text and button - do you mean those on top of first "module"?
If not, could you please create a screenshot and mark them on it?

yes that is correct! On the first module, I removed the "learn more" button, because I could not get it in the right place!
Thanks

Another question which also concerns GK Tab module, could not add new post's to the forum.
I want the tabs to be horizontal (like for smaller screensizes see first image), with the quark styling and everything.
thanks

@madmips - please create a separate thread.

@bendieckman - your site gives me only blank, white screen (no error).

Yes was an error due to some experimenting. Is solved now.
I could not add a new forum post, that is why I placed it here (sorry).
But if I need to place it elsewhere no problems!

@bendieckman the question for creating another thread was to another person - his question was not related to your issue.
And if it comes to your forum problem - is your subscription is still active?

Please edit: /templates/gk_quark/css/override.css and add at its end:
Code: Select all
.transparent-tabs .gkTabsNav {
left: 0;
padding: 10px !important;
transform: none;
top: 50px;
text-align: center;
width: 100%;
}
.transparent-tabs .gkTabsNav li {
display: inline-block;
float: none;
padding: 0 12px !important;
width: auto;
}
.transparent-tabs .gkTabsNav li:before {
display: none;
}

Remember to enable "CSS override" in template settings - advanced section.

just to come back to the original subject.
The header on the Quark demo and my site? Could you explain how to get rid of the enormous white space and stretch the image like on the Quark demo site? On my site the top of the first module is visible, which is not so on the Quark demo?!
Thanks for the help.
BTW did you check my PM and payment?

it depends on how much content you have in the header

Don't want to change the content of the header, so would there be a way to adjust this via Module Class Suffix?
Added a "height-1" Suffix, and via override.css
.height-1: { min-height: 650px}

But don't seem to get it working?

Haha, tried that already.
But found the cause, it was me of course.
Somehow I changed the settings of the template the width: should be 1040px and I set it 1230px..
That solved it..

Thanks for taking the time any way!
