[SOLVED] How do I make a category page or a tag page?

The demo files have no templates I can see to make a category page or tag page.

If I select Portfolio or Portfolio II from the Work menu I get "page not found". And the address bar shows "myDomain/category/portfolio/".

If I click on any of the tags (in the boxes at the bottom of a post), for example the "design" box, I get "page not found". And the address bar shows "myDomain/tag/design/".

Should these automatically display a page of all the posts with this tag? Or if not, how can I create the category or tag pages?

From the WP dashboard..

Posts > Categories -or-
Posts > Tags

After you have the categories created, you can then add them to the menus via Appearance > Menus > Main menu.

Yes, I already have posts in various categories, and I can see the links in my menus.

But when I click on the links I get the "page not found".

@Pavi - please make sure that your .htaccess file was created correctly.

.htaccess exists, but do I need to check it in some way?

Fixed! I just received an email from Wordpress saying: Your site has been updated automatically to WordPress 4.2.3.

And now category pages and tag pages are showing properly.
