Photo - Frontpage Slideshow

Hi ...

is it possible to randomize the Slideshow-Order? .. I haven't found anything about this.

Hi,

Do you want to change the order of slides or display them random? There's no option to display random, but order you can change by changing subpages order (i.e. by changing publish date).

I wanted to randomize the order.
It would be a great feature - because it's boring for users to see the same pictures all the time by visiting the frontpage.

Try to edit Photo/template.frontpage.php file and change this line:

Code: Select all: 'orderby' => 'menu_order',

to:

Code: Select all: 'orderby' => 'rand',

Hi Piotr,

We are having an issue with the slideshow that I am sure you must be aware of. If you add more than 2 slideshows and immediately navigate left upon site load, the slideshow fails to load and stutters for a while until you navigate around to the start. Is there a fix for this?
