Hi Gavick support,

Wondering if you could help me to fix a issue with photo template that came up after enable recaptcha 2.0.
The issue is that message "you email has been sent" after pressing the send button into contact page is not showing anymore....it was working good just before enabling recaptcha.

Hi

I can see You are using recaptcha in version 1 again. Please switch to version 2 so I'll be able to see the problem.

Hi

If it's not sending with both recaptcha versions than it may be because of server restrictions not to use mail() function. Try configuring SMTP settings in global joomla configuration for mail maybe and let me know if this made any difference.

Mail sending is working perfectly fine.
As I mentioned the issue is that message "you email has been sent" after pressing the send button into contact page is not showing anymore.

Hi

Ok. I tried to send a mail to see and this is what I got in return:

Code: Select all
No se permite responder en blanco.

JFile: :leer: No se ha podido abrir el archivo: /home/chriscab/public_html/components/com_k2/js/k2.js?v2.6.9&sitepath=/

I think the problem may be because of k2.js file. Please try to exclude this file from javascript compression in template settings.

Hi

I thought it was the problem, there were some conflicts because of compressing js files. Please send me an access to joomla panel and ftp so I'll check.

Hi

I cannot see the cause of this problem. I've send Your access to programmers. Will let You know when they will answer.

Thank you for the follow up buddy.

PS.
In the meantime someone else dig into it ... is there a work around to have a message/windows pop up when a contact message is send using a plugin or 3rd party component?

HI

Not a good news I'm afraid. Programmers has played with cache settings, updated Your joomla, but message is not being shown even in a default joomla template (like Protostar), which means this is a joomla core bug and You need to talk to joomla developers about it. Sorry.

teitbite, I appreciate the follow up but this is not an acceptable answer, I did use your quickstart template that I pay for, initiciallly it worked but as I mentioned after enabling captcha plugin message stop showing up.
I would need a better explanaition on this, you are not providing any info or details regarding troubleshooting you are just pointing your finger to another direction.

Hi

I'm sorry, but there is really nothing I can do here. This messages are generated by joomla, not our templates. All we did to this messages were to add a style so it's looking well with our template. But if messages are not displaying anymore, than problem is in joomla itself. I've already shown this to programmers and they have checked that with a different template and messages are not there as well. So a conclusion is that it's not connected with our product, so all I can do is to send You to joomla forums. I wish I can help more with this, but cause is somewhere in core joomla files which we cannot modify.
