Quickstart unwritable

Hello!

i have installed many joomla websites before and i also used kickstart.php before but now i need to install photo template to a new site using quickstart and i get errors.

after installation, deleting install folder, creating configuration.php,... all my folders have 755 (filezilla and web ftp from ISP) i can not install anything on the site.

all folders on joomla backend are listed as unwritable and just chmod them to 777 changes them to writable - but i dont want to do that.

any help welcome!!

ahhh

i have found the problem. it was a wrong (to new) php version.
