Article image is blurry and dark

I have just installed the Writer template and K2 into a fresh install at the url http://www.MartinoMingione.com. It is a Joomla 3.4.6 framework. I am at the beginning of my configuration of the template, so much is not yet setup.

The sidebar is my current focus and I added a K2 article with an image. The image was added using the article's own image tab which sets it nicely as the header to the image with the author's info and tabs below. The problem is that the image is dark and blurry. And this is a big issue when the web site's goal is to show photographer service options.

The issue cannot be the image itself because clicking on the image pops it up in crystal clarity and shows it the way it originally was created. The issue cannot be the browser because the same issue arose in both Chrome and Safari. What am I missing?

I have another clue. When I right click the dark and blurry image and copy it to the clipboard, I can go into Photoshop to inspect it. Much to my surprise, the pasted image was as it should be. So, something is deliberately interfering with the displayed image. But I do not know what.

Hi,
I had the same problem. I solved this: module settings > thumbnails> create thumbnails: turn off this option. :)

Have a happy new year! :D

Hi

@jorgelinacasajus that's one of the possibilities, but in most cases simply selecting a different image type in "Additional k2 options" or "Additional article options" helps for blurriness if image selected previously was way smaller than dimensions configured for thumbnails.
